Biography

Sara Goldstein is Interim Chair and Associate Professor of Voice at Boston Conservatory at Berklee. She has performed with Opera Company of Boston, The Boston Early Music Festival, and in recital at Jordan Hall, Boston's Goethe Institute, French Library, as well as Harvard, MIT and Brandeis Universities, The Boston Public Library, and on WCRB Radio.

Regionally, she has sung at the German Embassy in Washington, DC, and with the Foundation for Baroque Music in New York. In Europe she has sung at the Aldeburgh Institute, The Festival du Perigord Noir, and in new music premieres at the American Center in Paris which were broadcast on France Culture Radio. She was a recitalist on France Musique Radio.

Sara studied at The Eastman School of Music, and earned her MM at New England Conservatory where she was a student of Susan F. Clickner. Subsequent studies followed with Grace Hunter, Elisabeth Schwartzkopf, and Nina Hinson.

Sara trained to teach the Alexander Technique with Tommy Thompson at the Center for Alexander Technique in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She is certified by Alexander Technique International.

Additionally, Sara completed training with movement specialist and author, Betsy Polatin in her signature work, "The Actor's Secret," which integrates Peter Levine's trauma healing work, Carl Stough's breathing coordination and the Alexander Technique.
