BIOGRAPHY

Soprano Sara Goldstein has appeared in performances with the Opera Company of Boston, Handel and Haydn Society, and The Boston Early Music Festival. She has been featured in recital on France Musique radio, at Boston’s Jordan Hall, Goethe Institute and French Library as well as Harvard and Brandeis Universities, MIT, The Boston Public Library and the German Embassy in Washington, DC.
Her performances reflect a wide range of repertory from Baroque to Cabaret, including a multitude of solo performances with numerous musical organizations including The Foundation for Baroque Music of New York, world premieres of works at the American Center in Paris, and France Culture Radio (Atelier de la Creation Radiophonique). She has premiered works written for her by Tom Johnson, Robert Johnson and Jenny Gottschalk.
Sara Goldstein began her studies at the Eastman School of Music with Masako Toribara and holds a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory where she was a student of Susan Clickner. She subsequently studied with Grace Hunter and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf who invited her to study at her home in Zurich after being selected to sing in her masterclasses at Aldeburgh, England.
Sara Goldstein has been selected to sing in masterclasses with Hugues Cuenod, William Christie, Rita Streich, Suzanne Danco, Paul Sperry, and Eileen Farrell.
She received operatic training with Boris Goldovsky, Gabriel Bacquier, and Hanni Meyers and has coached extensively with Michael Strauss (Boston Conservatory and New England Conservatory faculty), Terry Decima (New England Conservatory, Sylvaine Billier (Paris Conservatory) and Anne Marie Fontaine (Paris Opera)

She has adjudicated for the National Association of Teachers of Singing(NATS), The New England Conservatory Preparatory School, and Classical Singer.
She has served on the Brookline (MA) Commission for the Arts as well as the board of the Boston chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Sara Goldstein co-chaired the Arts Equinox, a unique festival at Driscoll School in Brookline, MA recruiting and coordinating over forty visual and performing artists.
Teaching appointments include the American College in Paris, Berklee College of Music, and for over twenty years, The Boston Conservatory. She co-founded and directed the voice workshops at Etudes et Rencontres Artistiques in Montignac, France, and has taught masterclasses at the Longy School of Music and the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles.
